lanvin ad campaign: ss/11
not only do i love seasonal ad campaigns, but a multi-shot one that reads like an editorial — like this one, courtesy of lanvin — is even better. lanvin reminds me of tilda swinton, and these belligerent, chic dames, flouncing about their home's wares, set the perfect tone for an amazing spring season. so much garment! so much feistiness.

ohmyrochas
marco zanini is slaying me with this depression-era chic for rochas' pre-fall. i feel like each look is traversing through time with those slouchy socks, flat, wide-soled shoes, and hanging, shapeless silhouettes. all they need now is a battered set of vintage luggage.

karla spetic ss/11
i am obsessed with weird, kitschy prints, and when i saw the australian-landscape inspired prints by karla spetic, i fell in love. her vivid colors and unique application of imagery make this a stand-out collection — who doesn't have a need for a windmill-emblazoned tunic? or that oversized (calfskin?) clutch?
purchase online at karla spetic. and feel free to send my way.

elliott ward-fear
behold, the ss/11 collection from 21yr old australian designer elliott ward-fear, "spirit of clothing." nothing like scalloped chaps and heart-shaped ass-less lavender skinny pants to add a bit of whimsicality to one's day.
check out this great interview with the designer on dazed digital.
