fashion in the mirror

i found these images from a london art exhibit in the online mag, trendland magazine. they're stunning, and they represent part of a collection of images that showcase the behind the scenes of fashion editorial photography. i love the aged, vintage quality of some of the photos.

Fashion in the Mirror is an overview of their self-examination and a rare look behind-the-scenes of fashion photography from the 1950s to the present day. Finding both comedy and poetry in the set-up of the studio, the exhibiting photographers turn their cameras on the processes and paraphernalia of the fashion shoot.

Revealing the fashion industry’s secrets and undermining its glamorous illusions, the photographers in this exhibition create work that exposes this world from within.

The show features work from the 1940s to now by twenty-one top international names, including Richard Avedon, Terence Donovan, Nick Knight, Helmut Newton, Juergen Teller, Mario Testino and Jonathan de Villiers amongst others."
