i love lara stone, because i think she's fabulous and terribly seductive. and so what if i think it's sexy when sexy people chain smoke?

but what initially caught my eye is the watch she's wearing in this campaign. it's magnificent, and i want it. i don't wear watches to tell me the time. in fact, i hadn't worn a watch in years until my mom bought me a gold, glittery, oversized hunk of wrist love for my birthday. but i still haven't set it, and that was almost four months ago. c'est la vie. it's pretty.

and those heels...mmm, i love those heels.

i love the zoe report - everything i love is as perfectly gaudy and gold and overstated as all of the fabulous pieces rachel zoe dies for. these louis vuitton sequined shimmer booties are seriously amazing, and i want to wear them everything. the heel looks so sturdy, too - i bet they'd be super comfortable.

thanks rz, for yet another one of your ridiculous finds that you can afford in droves, and i can only afford to look at.

i love this editorial from paris l'officiel. the tights, the red wedges, the saturation of color, and all of that damned gold. only the parisians could make gaudiness all-too chic.

by 9am this morning, the cut had already posted this fabulous gold marc by marc jacobs zipper necklace (dutifully sent to me by kate, who's much better about our daily blog routine than i) - which i bought for myself for my birthday in november. there's also a multi-colored version that i got for my sister. they're absolutely gorgeous, and as they're priced brilliant at $13 a piece, you really can't go wrong. plus there's every incentive in the world to get one for yourself so that you can match your giftee.

not a bad way to give gifts at all, if i do say so myself.
