shopper love

recently i've not really been in the mood to shop (i know), but there are certain sartorial necessities that have been on my "acquire before paris" list, including some new flats. and then i saw these, with which i fell instantly in love:
but then i saw these, and it was kind of hard to choose which one:

so, i just got them both. merci, paris!

call it love

i'm not particularly moved by the story of this editorial (vogue nippon, may 2010, "call it love") - the bff/life of the fabulous theme will always be a mainstay for fashion - but the shoes alone make it worth every while. those lace-up wedges? they're perfect.

although i will say - the addition of nicholas hoult + his styling makes for a glorious little something. i don't think i could ever get enough of skinny ties and slim tailored suits on men.

gap is back

i have a gap card. it's from high school, and it generates little to no usage thanks to gap's inability to get itself together and get me some basics i need and love. until now. where it might just get maxed out x4.

i am in love with ALL of these shoes, part of pierre hardy's fall 2010 collection for gap. they are amazing and wedge-y and platform-y and made just for me. thaaaaaank you, gap, for finally putting out something i can love. i promise to reward you with my consumerism.

givenme

i heart these givenchy studded heels. and their open-toedness, animal skin, big thick heel, and star embellishments.

balenciaga

as far as i'm concerned, nicolas ghesquière is a genius who is more than welcome to design both my shoe wardrobe and entire life anytime he pleases. the shoes! glorious. a veritable footwear god. it's also gorgeous fodder for my pastel theme this morning. tres chic.

i want to be a heel

isn't this image spectacular? i hopped onto altamira because i wanted to look at pictures of women wearing fabulous shoes. although i'm not sick of winter, or slightly chilly weather, i am sick of wearing boots. i want to wear my heels! but alas, the snowy midwest does little more than promptly ruin the best of one's most favorite footwear.

so, pictures of women who don't have to wear boots, it is.

and then this one, because it's amazing.

hook a sista up at the mini market

i'm currently really into grey footwear. i own black shoes in every possible style, shape, form, and although i'm wonderful at justifying the purchases i make, after a while it gets a little ridiculous. so my new solution? continue buying fabulous shoes, just make them grey. i've also been more than vocal about my love for the wedge. so i'm sure you can imagine how i felt when i saw these babies from swedish retailer, minimarket:

aren't they gorgeous?

and these, too. cerulean is one of my very favorite colors. as a child, i always though it was pronounced "cer-roo-leen."

i hadn't ever heard of minimarket before, but it's amazing, amazing stuff.

bedazzled

i absolutely love these bejeweled shoe accessories. as someone who owns a black version of nearly every shoe ever made, i adore the idea of bedazzling my kicks with some fabulous gems. proving yet again that accessories are the best, most transformative aspect of any outfit, i have now expanded my christmas wish list tenfold.

sidenote: speaking of - check out my holiday wish list on second city style! feel free to express-ship any of these amazing items directly my apartment, thank you very much.
