call it love

i'm not particularly moved by the story of this editorial (vogue nippon, may 2010, "call it love") - the bff/life of the fabulous theme will always be a mainstay for fashion - but the shoes alone make it worth every while. those lace-up wedges? they're perfect.

although i will say - the addition of nicholas hoult + his styling makes for a glorious little something. i don't think i could ever get enough of skinny ties and slim tailored suits on men.

hook a sista up at the mini market

i'm currently really into grey footwear. i own black shoes in every possible style, shape, form, and although i'm wonderful at justifying the purchases i make, after a while it gets a little ridiculous. so my new solution? continue buying fabulous shoes, just make them grey. i've also been more than vocal about my love for the wedge. so i'm sure you can imagine how i felt when i saw these babies from swedish retailer, minimarket:

aren't they gorgeous?

and these, too. cerulean is one of my very favorite colors. as a child, i always though it was pronounced "cer-roo-leen."

i hadn't ever heard of minimarket before, but it's amazing, amazing stuff.

diego dolcini

"The Naples-born shoe designer has charmed Hollywood with his cult status creations. Diego Dolcini’s hard to find designs are inspired by film, theater, urban landscapes and haute couture." - diego dolcini website

gooooooooo to this site immediately. this is my first experience with dolcini, but he's designed some of the most amazing shoes i've ever seen. not to mention the demeulemeester, margiela and marni shoes also featured on his site.

check out these christmas bow pumps. insanely adorable, and the most perfect holiday shoe in the world.

ahhh! in love. that wedge in the fourth photo? insane.

photog dreams

apparently i'm on some sort of shoe high this morning, because what stopped me when looking at this image were these ungodly perfect wedges. and then there's the cape, and the impeccable opaque-ness of the tights. this photograph is dreamy.

daphne

ahhhh! exactly what i've been wanting: to see these iconic nina ricci wedges actually worn by a real person, in public, as part of the real world (daphne's real world, of course). so epic. i want to live in her world.

style inspiration

wildfox

immediately upon seeing these photos i thought, "what perfect style inspiration." easy, chic pieces styled comfortably and simply. and i couldn't be more over the moon about those wedges...i don't think in a million, trillion years could i have too many wedges.

i hopped it on over to zoe and these are calling my name in ways i can't even handle:

costume national sandy ankle boot

elizabeth and james cut suede wedges

chloe terry wedges

wedge me

oh, the wooden wedge...i just can't even get enough of these finsk wooden dreams. the incredible texture and color combinations, and the ingenuity in the construction of each heel...these shoes are showstoppers. check out more finsk perfection at oak.

vainandvapid -- new site shown to me by old friends...the images are great, the fashion fabulous.

if you know me at all, you know that these are precisely the type of shoes i'd never, ever take off. ever.
